Midwest Transit Equipment

Kankakee, IL

May, 2017-Present

I am currently employed at Midwest Transit Equipment as their full-time, in-house, graphic designer. I design brochures, 80 inch tall retractable banners, social media posts, and much more. Below is a gallery of a few of my favorite projects.

Senior Exhibition

Olivet Nazarene University

Feburary, 2017

The final requirement art students must meet at Olivet, is hosting a Senior Art Show.

Being a Graphic Designer, I was intimidated at the idea of creating a show suitable for an art gallery. I chose to show off my skills by creating an expo-style setting, with each "booth" show-casing a different aspect of the Graphic Design field. To make it interesting to all my viewers (not just other graphic designers), I maintained an overall beach theme: advertising for beach events, tropical styled cards and products, even pirate themed seasoning, with the descriptions in "Pirate Language". The theme was a big hit and having the different "booths" was very eye-opening for many visitors who were unaware of the extent of graphic design.

Maps Project

One of the most exstensive undergrad project I did was creating the booklet and poster below. The objective was to use design to map out typography, on a real map. I used a small section of downtown Champaign, Illinois, and mapped out the typography I found on the exterior of building. The surface of the building the typogrpahy was found on, determinded the color of marker I used to pinpoint it on the map, and then I grouped photogrpahs of the typography by what it was made of. My Hopes were to find a correnlation between the materials of buildings and the materials of type depending on the location on the map. None was found.
